Open call for Projekt K an international contemporary arts residency

Thursday 26th January

Project K
We are now welcoming applications from contemporary artists for the artist in residency "Project K". Project K is a themed residency program. Please read the information below about the theme.
"Project K"

Inspired by the stories of the writer Franz Kafka and many of his unfortunate protagonists sharing the initial K. in their names, the Project K. asks the artists to create a piece of work within the boundaries of the Town Hall in Tranås. The Town Hall is a place of bureaucracy, politics, state offices and provide the perfect opportunity to talk about endless documentation, rules and regulations, stately decisions and a bit of dark humor. The main hall of the building creates the perfect ground for the selected artist to install an artwork in relation to the Town Hall, which will be exhibited after June 15th 2017 for two months time. The selected artist will be an artist in residence at Kultivera for a month to create the site specific work and will be working in close contact with co-curators Seher Uysal and Michaela Langdahl, his/her accommodation/meals and a certain amount of production cost will also be covered. The selected artist will have the chance to have a modest amount of 10 000kr as an artist fee.
